NextUp Privacy Policy
Your viewing data is yours.

Who operates NextUp
NextUp is an independently operated TV-series companion app. This policy explains how the app handles the information needed to provide your account, viewing tools and recommendations.
What NextUp stores
NextUp stores your account identifier, username, country or region preference, profile visibility choice and onboarding preferences. It also stores the series you save, watch or complete; episode progress and watch dates; ratings; favourites; review ratings and any review text or tags you choose to save; and rewatch history and reflections.
How your information is used
NextUp uses this information to restore your account across devices, maintain your watch history and statistics, generate recommendations, personalise your Viewing Cloud and show profile information according to the visibility setting you choose.
Supabase and TMDB
NextUp uses Supabase for authentication and cloud data storage. NextUp requests TV-series metadata, images, genres, keywords, reviews and availability information from TMDB. TMDB handles those requests under its own privacy policy.
Profile visibility
You can choose whether your profile is private or public. Public-profile features display only the information permitted by your chosen visibility settings. Private written review text and tags remain private when you choose a private review visibility; the related show, season and star rating can still appear where NextUp presents public rating summaries.
Signing out and deletion
Signing out removes the account from the device while leaving your cloud account available for a future sign-in. Deleting your account permanently removes the associated cloud account and its stored data, subject to short operational backups that are deleted on their normal schedule.
Retention and changes
NextUp keeps your account data while your account remains active. We update this policy when app behaviour changes in a way that affects what NextUp collects, stores, shares or displays. The latest version is always published here.
